Hello, new member and already asking for advice!

Hello, I joined the club some time ago, in readiness for this day.
I've been looking out for a suitable A40 for some time and now I've got an 'only-just-running restoration' '67 Countryman turning up on a recovery truck on Monday.
So, I'm looking for some advice already. How do I convince my wife this was a good idea when she comes home from work to find it on the drive?
Wish me luck!

Or, how about... "yes dear, many people celebrate 28 years of marriage as their 'Rust Wedding Anniversary', I can't believe you didn't know that!"
Thanks for the welcome Sid

Welcome! Assuming you survived your beloved's return to your home, and her overjoyed acceptance (!) of your latest purchase, how about sending a letter to Farina News to share with everyone the details of the car, and perhaps medical information regarding any lasting injuries inflicted by your partner?
I hope the three of you have a long and happy relationship together!

Thanks Keith
Well, the little Austin is here now. I might just go and hide in the shed.

Well, I certainly did, until my feet went through the passenger side floor. I'm only joking - I knew it was rotten when I bought it.
Reception from the rest of the family has been, well, fairly neutral so far. I think that's good(?).

Lurv your photo - a classic little car in front of a pair of classic 1930s garage doors.
Scotty is planning a summer meeting at his race preparation premises near Newmarket and if you're within striking I strongly recommend a visit. (Google UCE 13 to get a glimpse of his very quick A40)
