A40 Farina Register

I have recently instigated a new Facebook page :- "A40 Farina Register". I have wanted for sometime now to try to find how many of our little cars there are still surviving and decided instead of trying to visit every form of club or association and asking for help, I would just inform everyone of this central information centre and this seems like the easiest method.
There are no fees or any commitment, just join the page and supply whatever information you feel you are happy to give. A spreadsheet with certain data elements is being set up and a small form to help fill it, so that after a time, all sorts of information and statistics will become available to anyone interested.
I would just stress again, no pressure, no commitment, just trying to keep these wonderful little cars alive.
Trevor Parfitt.

A link to the club Facebook page will soon be atop the A40 Farina Register page to help guide future members to the club's services and community. We are having a great response from all over the world and the database is building as fast as I can add the details.
We understand there is a suggestion that we will freely provide all details we collate to anyone who asks. This is not the case. all personal information and chassis numbers provided will be secure and the full details of the vehicles will be used for analysis. That analysis will be available upon request from me. Should someone be searching for a particular car for which we have the details, we will be able to contact the present owner and advise of the interested party and should the owner wish to contact them, they can do so.
Once we have amassed sufficient information we will post here significant details regards numbers, trends re models or colours, etc. The chassis numbers for instance will be analysed to find earliest and last know surviving cars of the various different models within the A40 Farina build.

This picture of Keith and Gab was posted on the A40 Farina Register page, (with his kind permission), at 9:30pm on Thursday evening, as of the time of posting it had reached 12,602 people.
This is the power of social media.

Gracious! And the nice thing, to my mind, is that the photo was taken by a bloke who lives on the other side of the world - a lovely Club member called Peter Asquith. He'd be chuffed.
And congrats, Scotty, on the runaway success of your Register. It obviously fills a badly-needed gap in A40 Farina lore.

Thanks Keith. Another 1000 were added overnight somehow.
Please will anyone with an A40 Farina send details of their cars by filling in any details they feel happy to do, on the form on the A40 Farina page.

The more details we can add the better the record for the future. Thanks Scotty.

Something I have never seen before but very interesting is the insights analysis of a facebook page itself.
Interesting to scroll down and look at and to see the post about Keith Bennett's car reached over 14.6 thousand people.
