Here i have a genuine original 1967 Mk2 farina offered for sale, the car is roadworthy and has never been short of love.

Reason for sale is because I haven't got enough use for the car anymore due to a move of house it now makes the car too difficult to get the car out for a short ride out.

The car has been within our family from new and was bought in the local area (morecambe) then by my nanas aunt.

The car is fitted with a 4 cylinder 1098 cc a-series engine (original engine).

I have had the car within my possession since Jan 2016 and in that time I have done alot of work to the car.
- Full engine rebuild in 2018 inc new piston rings, new shells, new push rods, new gaskets throughout, duplex timing chain conversion, new oil pump, replaced valve seats (modern unleaded type), skimmed head, new thermostat, repainted, spin on filter conversion. Since the rebuild the car has had 5 oil changes since in the 1181 miles since it was done, the dash was replaced at the same time due to a speedo issue discovered when the engine was refit. The fuel tank was also resealed then aswell as a fuel pump rebuild with new points.

- Up-rated 1275cc gearbox (from an MG midget) fitted in 2019 this was rebuilt and input shaft oil seal converted to a Lip seal before fitting in the car, this also included a replacement of the 2nd gear as the synchronizing material had come away from the gear supplied with the replacement box. The 1275 gearbox has Roller bearings where some of the 1098 ones were brass bushes. Also a new clutch pressure plate and cover fitted then. I still have the original gearbox that came in the car from new that has been drained and stored since removing. Prop shaft cross bearings and rear axle oil also replaced at this time.

- Rebuilt front suspension also in 2019 including new front wishbones, drop links, king pins, all front suspension bushes replaced. At this time I also removed the front drum brakes and hubs and replaced them with the MG midget front disc brakes and hubs, these were refurbished (re-bushed) front hubs. At this time all the bolts, calipers, brake lines, brake pads, brake discs, and wheel bearings were new. There was also a new vacuum servo fitted into the circuit and replacement of the brake and clutch master cylinders.

The car has always been garaged and never used in the rain or winter the paintwork is original and so is the upholstery. It has a radio fitted working and authentic to its age. Car comes with a spare wheel, original wheel brace and jack, a pile of spares, touch up paint, and history it is mot and tax exempt, im pretty sure I even have the receipt from when it was new somewhere in the pile of things. I'm sure there is loads of things I have missed off here but I can't go on forever so these are the main things there was plenty of small things along the way, if it sounds like it could be for you then get in touch. I have also got a video of the car running I can share with anyone interested because I can't upload a video.

I have struggled to find an accurate representation of the cars value and I am looking for advice if anyone has any comments on value however I think a fair value is around £5500, this is of course a private sale.

Questions and viewing welcome, contact me on 07534100141 - Thomas or email me (thomasjgibson@gmail.com) the car is located at my home in a village called Forton (near Preston). I could potentially deliver nationwide at the buyers expense as I have access to a covered car transporter trailer.
