I was wondering if you could give me some feedback please
I'm thinking of producing Beanie hats for the Club, and another member has also enquired about Baseball Caps too.

Would you please take a minute to have a look at the images which gives you an idea of what a design would look like, and let me know your thoughts. I wasn’t sure whether to go with just “
A40” or maybe just “
Austin”
Most popular colours would appear to be
Black,
Navy,
Dark Green and
Burgundy. Again, if you think another colour would be good, please let me know.
I am only going to produce a small quantity to begin with and they will retail at around £10 each
Many thanks
David

Thanks Graham, I really appreciate it.
If you were to go for a Beanie Hat, or Baseball Cap (or both), which colour would you choose and would you have "A40" on there, or "Austin"?

Definitely should have 'A40 Farina'

David,
I'd probably pick a Grey, Navy or Black colour. I think Scotty is right about having Farina on the script. Whilst the car was never officially called "Farina" the model is defined by this and we are the A40 Farina Club. I don't think you need Austin.
If you are going to add Farina, I think it should be a smaller script to compliment and possibly a contrasting colour. Here is a couple of ideas where it could go.

David,
Here are a couple more suggestions using font "TopSpeed" this is very close to the Pininfarina script.

I do like the last picture with the white lettering. Just being picky but could the 'A' with the flash through it be the shape of the original MkI bonnet strip?

Thank you for those suggestions. I'll bear this in mind.
I'm conscious of not having too much detail on there, as I think too much detail could spoil the look.
I will probably produce Austin hats too, as these could be popular with other Austin owners.

Thank you for that. The flash and the A40 script already on there is taken from the badge on the boot lid, which appears on more cars than the original "A" on the bonnet strip which only appeared on very early cars

I would go for a "beanie" as illustrated - Cumulus Grey? Ha ha.
Blue preferably or Black/Green would fit the bill.
Jeff.
