One area of slight concern is the photo showing the top right-hand corner of the passenger door and its shut gap.

The top of the door looks a little low but such matters can be resolved at a later date.

So what's next? Well, if you're not a competent welder you will have to find a sympathetic one nearby. Whatever else you do, do NOT start tearing the shell to bits cos abandoned resto projects and basket cases are legion.

Only repair one side at a time so you've always got a reference point to study and measure.

Finally, can the A40 overwinter in a garage (best) or, failing that, beneath a car cover?

There will be times when you become despondent; just step away for a while until things look better. Most importantly, do keep in touch!

Hey Keith,

Well fortunately welding is the one thing I can do so that's a plus

She's got her own garage not a great deal of space to work in but it will keep her out of the weather

Great advice
I will be asking questions as I go along I'm sure

I got told to try using a scissor jack and some cushioning wood (maybe shape the wood) to try pushing the body back out using the drivers side as referencing, sound like a good idea?

cheers all!!!
