Re: Youngest A40

Funny how a thread started about the youngest A40 has turned into a thread about the oldest ones!!

Have you found an engine for the A40?
Not yet Sam, but do have a couple of leads to follow up.

Re: Potential Problem....

What you been doing to it Chris? Just a bit of fettling for the season Sam, clutch adjustment, shiny new grille panel. and a bit of Lanoguard. A40 next - new engine I think. Always had low oil pressure, but rattling its mains off when you start it up now. Shame as it ticks over and runs so sweetly.

Re: Youngest A40

A related question: what and when were the *earliest* A40s? I have a left hand drive one here in Canada, registered as a 1958.. and now I'm curious. The 'export or die' thing is also something I'd like to know about - were exported Farina bodies numbered differently? :) Dunno is the first answer. C...

Potential Problem....

Today, I've inadvertently worked on my Morris Traveller whilst wearing my Austin hat. Will bad things happen or am I covered by BMC immunity?

Re: Youngest A40

We do have two VERY late ones though, latest Countryman we have is Mark Gormans, 172327, 33 cars from the end. And R J Carter owns, 172846, 51 fr...

Re: looking for a condenser

Hello Edward. I take it you are outside of the UK and parts supply is sketchy? Derek runs the club spares service and is very helpful always. Also, a lot of A series stuff is generic to other models - so you will find Morris 1000 stuff for example will work perfectly. I note you have recently joined...

Re: Youngest A40

Mine's about 200 from the end. As for Reg suffixes, Personally I've never seen one beyond 'F', But seen photos of a few 'G's. I recall Mike Hodgson posting a picture of an 'H' reg.
