The pieces in the boot on mine are rubber.

I had mine from Coverdale ( MK1 ). Good fit but some minor cutting needed. They supplied inner sills but obviously not needed.

As a BMW owner , I can advise that it is only those who have actually read the handbook that do not indicate, drive too close and overtake in dangerous place.

The rest of us just plod on !
