Many competition A40s which are based on the countryman shell, remove the whole top tail gate and replace with a Macralon window and of course a brace across at the bottom. Not sure if your regs allow such mods but would prove very light in both senses of the word.

As you are using lowering blocks at the back, you may need tramp bars if you start to get axle wind up with that low diff.

Well done, looks like you could now lower the back at least the same, this should also help a lot. Stiffer front anti roll bar would help, possibly stronger front springs, but only one thing at a time, then you know what works and what doesn’t, also how the differences feel.
