Good luck for the 16th. Sadly it will be too late for a report to appear in March's FN but rest assured it will appear (along with any other stuff from you!) in June's issue.

And the weather today (16th) is truly dreadful. I hope you all returned home safely and dry.

Today's date is a palindrome - it reads the same way forwards and backwards, thus 02/02/2020 and we'll have to wait one thousand and ten years to see 03/03/3030 so make a note in your diaries!!

Steve's kind words about our stand at the NEC carries a lot of weight because he, too, was heavily involved in creating and manning his own club's stand there and so knows very well how much dedication and hard work goes into producing the public face of any car club.

Phew... close call. Your mention of "the scene of the imminent accident" reminded me of an old aircraft engineer friend of mine who worked on a number of makes during the war. Fred told one nervous pilot, on being assured that his twin-engined Wellington was now okay after one of its engines refused...

You're right, Mike. But in the heat of the moment - and no doubt tired after a long day out (with more miles to come), plus missing the pumps completely, - I guess that bit of good 'housekeeping' went out of my mind.
