Yesterday marked the very first Wessex Group meeting at our New venue. What a success it was too! I drove down from Sussex 100 miles in exactly 3 hours. All on A and B roads! It was so good to see Keith, Stony, Derak Mark plus everyone else who normally comes to the meetings. Shame Mike H and Ed were unable to attend.. Look forward to seeing them next time. A special thanks to Mark Johnson for organising such a super event. To Deark for the spares as always and to my goof friend Stony for giving me so much help and support in helping Me to get Ruby's paintwork Nice and Clean without any horrible swerl marks that I so often put on the car!
The new venue is much more practical offering us all much more space. After a good chat and something to eat, there was plenty of nice cake. It was time to head off. Again I had a very pleasant journey home and hope everyone else did too. A total of just over 200 miles and Ruby did not miss a beat. Till next time folks!

Re: Penton Hall
I had every intention to be there but unfortunately a painful trapped/pinched nerve in my lower back(not for the first time) made a drive to Andover out of the question.
Also a very good friend passed away last week (funeral tomorrow) and I was not in a mood to be sociable.

Yes, get well soon. Why do people think that a bad back is remotely funny? I'm sure that Mrs Mike will rub in the goose grease!
