Hello!
Hello!
new poster here! alway's loved A40's,had 3 in the past, with varying degrees of reliability..tho' they were old bangers then. i'm running a Triumph Herald convertible now,as well as a couple of old motorcycles, and thought i need another classic car. i've asked about a Mk 2 A40 that's for sale on this forum,so we'll see how i get on.
Re: Hello!
Hi Sid,
Welcome to the forum! I am pretty new around here as well and to A40's but I am absolutely loving mine.
Good luck with the purchase!

You may be better off emailing Derek directly at parts@a40farinaclub.co.uk
I am not sure how active he is on the forum but he does monitor his email. It might mean you get an answer quicker

'ere mate, hoo yoo callin' quirky??
I hope you get this car, Sid, it certainly looks quite solid and, with a huge range of spares and panels available, there's hopefully no big problems to trouble you.

Re: Hello!
hi everyone..i've made an offer for the car, which has been accepted
hope to pick up the car as as i can..tho'don't fancy driving down the M1 'smart' motorway..as a lorry driver,i've seen the carnage that can ensue on those so will poss borrow a trailer.
on another note..i visited a friend who has a business repairing/rebuilding classic's..on another part of the farm is a stash of car's owned by a number plate dealer..among the many Morris Minor's.Ford 100e's,old Riley's etc are 2 early Mk 2 A40's mouldering away

Re: Hello!
These dealers put profit above history and it's so disappointing. But warmest congrats on winning your car!
