These are really nice Mike. Did you get them from garages you used to work in?

clock glass there are lots of specialist clock parts suppliers on the internet, most donot list prices and have a minimum order of about £15. .On ebay most small sizes are available at about £3 to £6. With care the diameter can be ground down using a fine wheel on a bench grinder. there are many ways of fixing in the glass depending on the bezel ring.these include dripped candle wax, putty, shellac, or denture adhesive(IF IT NEEDS TO COME OUT SOAK IN WATER). Dolls house shops also a drying wax that is expensive but very useful

I have checked out EBay and the size I think I need seems to be in short supply .Before I order I will dismantle to affirm the correct size. Thanks for the adhesive ideas.

I can't remember his trading name, but Club member Luke Bull regularly advertises in every FN as his little firm cuts/makes mirror glass to any size. I wonder if he could cut the shape you require in clear glass? (Or, indeed, whether the silvering could be removed?)
