I think the clue is "Microsoft office",not everybody including myself has it on their machines.I use "Open office" a free programme similar to MSO .
To shrink a pic I open it then click on the three dots top right of screen,from drop down box select "resize " and select one of the three options then save as.

Got fed up with 'Windows' a few years ago Scotty, so now use a Mac book.

Right, as you'll see just above Jeff has a nice sparkly avatar. Just done this for him. Put simply, it's done through your personal profile.
