Agree with all - but my grandfather fought in the Oxon & Bucks during WW1 and once told dad (out of earshot of the ladies) that if he or the lads ran an attacker onto the bayonet they'd raise the tip to hold him there and then heap insults onto the dying soldier.

Grim business and, perhaps surprisingly, gramp was a regular attender at the village church all his long life.
