Sad news…..Anders Ditlev Clausager

Post by Dave the rave » 18 Dec 2025 17:10

Anders Ditlev Clausager passed away in the summer…..
I received my BMC FARINA book today. Annoyed, initially, as it’s not signed, as per noted on the flyer.
Have just emailed Herridge & Sons. Received an almost instant reply, with this sad news.
I feel fortunate in having met him some 30 years ago during production of Bay View Books’ Original Midget & Sprite series of tomes.

RIP Anders……
If in doubt....kick the Ruskies OUT ❗

He was the "go-to" archivist whose phenomenal memory could answer the most erudite question. During my time as FN editor he helped me with several "grey areas" arising from members' correspondences.

He bore his cancer stoically and remained in post for longer than perhaps was wise.
RIP

To be fair to Herridge & Sons their website did note that the book wouldn't be signed, despite the flyer saying it would. I hadn't realised the sad news that explains this and I guess the flyer was printed before Clausager passed away.
I've just received my copy of the book and it is excellent - a fitting epitaph!

Thanks Chris. I’d not looked at their website. Never give it a thought.
