Will 'swing by' on Saturday (and maybe even Sunday - that is a different plan to be agreed yet with 'the boss'!)

By then, Phil, you might find us a shattered heap behind the cars! Do awaken us though, it'll be nice to see you.

Right, Gab now laden with a lot of the stuff for the NEC tomorrow. Derek hopes to be here around 9:15 so that we will arrive in Hall 4 at the same time as Dave and Merv to set up the stand.
All I need to do now is give the shoes a bit of a polish, pack the suitcase and then relax for the last time until Sunday evening. Simples!
We do it cos we enjoy it. Really??

Re: NEC Classic Car Show next week
Well, we're installed in Hall 4 after Derek and I had a quick run in convoy up the M40/M42.
As usual though, once into the grounds we joined dozens of frustrated exhibitors all trying to find their respective Halls; total lack of signage and useless directions from the staff on the gates. Took us an hour on the road and almost as long to access the hall.
Dave was waiting for us and Merv turned up with very welcome tea, biccies and crisps. Wot a hero!
Stand pretty well established now but of course the spares, regalia etc won't be put on display until tomorrow morning before the show opens.
Never a quiet moment!

Re: NEC Classic Car Show next week
Sorry to hear of your problems, Scotty.
It was a very tiring day but not so many punters (£32 per ticket plus over £20 for car parking couldn't have helped).
However, we met nine members from as far afield as Ireland, Scandinavia and the Isle-of-Wight!
But thanks to you, Scotty, we had the enormous pleasure of meeting the new owner of Pat Moss's Monte A40, XOE778. Bill Moffatt is a delightful chap but I really don't think he fully knows what he's got hold of. For example, he casually pulled out "Zoey's" original log book from a heap of papers!
I explained that it's an incredibly valuable and unique document. He has very kindly invited me (and Bar, and Gab!) to visit him at home to see Zoey in person. Watch December's FN for my report!
Now it's time for a very stiff G&T.

Very tiring and busy day today. Colin signed up a fifteen-year-old new member who has an impressive understanding of classic vehicles and the A40's history as well. So that's four new members so far!
Stoney, we've sold about £40-worth of your Regalia.
Tomorrow is the final push. Let's hope for more success!
