I am so sorry to have to tell you that Ed died this morning.
He had been in hospital in Shrewsbury for a while but took a turn for the worse a few days ago. He was admitted to a nearby hospice but sadly was too weak to fight the illnesses. Morphine removed all his pain and his body was able to just simply run naturally down to it's final long rest .
RIP Ed.

Re: Our Chairman
Thirty-five folk attended on a beautiful sunny day, including four A40-ites (spares Derek, editor Martyn, my wife Bar and me).
At the wake, Sally made a point of coming to our table and thanking us for being there.
I did wonder whether to take Gab but eventually decided not to; although the VW camper uses twice as much fuel, she was much more comfortable for the 200-mile round trip especially when crawling through the never ending roadworks on the motorways around Brum.
