Mike, your bench test video - there's a hose connected into the thermostat housing which appears to go round to the heater valve area, but the water pump hose is not connected. Can we assume you had no coolant in for the run?

Correct Colin no coolant ,as you can see it was only run for a few seconds at idle and then transferred to static test rig with cooling system for longer runs .I have a video of that somewhere must find it.The pipe in top hose was just pushed in to stop it flapping about.
