Auntie Eva would be 131 now. She died at 98 having worked fulltime until she was 87. A remarkable lady whom I loved very much. I remember welding a sill on some old rust bucket in the path many years ago. In her eighties by this stage, she brought me out a cup of tea. Can I have a go she said - I reluctantly gave her the welding lamp as she called it, and i was struck dumb as she produced a perfect weld. I enjoyed that she said and went back in the house. Turns out she worked at Avro in the war making Lancasters!!
Anyway, I digress. She lives on in my garage in the form of her pan, pictured here. Unsure how old it is, I estimate 80ish. But no job is complete (Paint stripping, Rust treatment, Holding nuts bolts, Draining stuff etc etc) without the assistance of Auntie's pan!!
