Re: 1098 Engine
No takers whatsoever on this sale - so basic engine alone (no ancillaries) is now on offer at 150quid.
Re: 1098 Engine
Have you tried it on eBay? That sort of engine usually fly on there. That head alone goes for £400 odd.
Whereabouts are you?

Re: 1098 Engine
Sorry about the late response guys - been in the garage all day!
Clive - we are in South Cheshire - Crewe/Nantwich
Dave - there is no tab on the engine block, but this is Mike Gahan's old car & Derek did state at the time
of sale, that it's a late Midget engine with 2" bearings (10CC)
Maybe I need to retract the latest offer I made..........
Jeff.

Re: 1098 Engine
Sorry once again for the tardy response but..........
With apologies to Jesse (of The Fast Show) - 'Today I have mostly been marshalling on an auto test'.
Anyway, Clive many thanks for your '295' advice (I did find a few around the figure you suggested) & Dave, for your info.
Being more of a 1275 merchant, thought the '940' head was the dogs wotsits, that everyone wanted........
Therefore, I think I will just sit on it! (for now) Advert withdrawn.
Thanks again guys.

In the words of Del Boy,...."you know it makes sense"! That sounds a lovely engine, it deserves a good home!

Re: 1098 Engine
Hi JA40. Just read your advert for the 1098 engine at £400. Do you still have it as the complete item with ancillaries. I have a 1963 countryman and am looking for a replacement unit . I’m in the Stockport area and a member of Farina club.
Regards, Alan.
