Please be aware that a near perfect MK1 Countryman will shortly be for sale following the very sad death of the owner - this car was the inspiration for my own restoration project (see barn find thread on the forum).
Its a Grey Mk1 - June 1961 and i think it might be tweaked to be more than 948cc!
I do know it was fully restored 4-5 years ago - it has been garaged since then and is a very fine example - I would have bought it myself if not already financially committed!
Please see the photos - car is currently in Woodbridge, Suffolk and the owners widow would like it to go to an enthusiast / club member if possible so the car can live on and continue to be cherished as it has been - just check out the engine!
Looking for serious buyers only - if you are that then please reply to my post and I can put you in touch.
This is possibly one of the best A40's I have seen and being a MK1 Countryman should command a good price I would have thought?
Thanks for looking at this post and fingers crossed someone will be lucky to be the next owner!
Car has a stainless exhaust plus the original 4 period wheels / tyres too if that was the preferred look. The interior is spot on too with as good as new headlining.....
Julian.
