Richard Dredge is a professional motoring journalist and photographer, and in 2014 an article was being run on suspension set-ups similar to that used on the A40. He contacted me to ask whether I could arrange with Gary to have Gab lofted so he could take some photos. At that time Gary hadn't yet installed his two-post lift and was using a much smaller, transportable one and Gab always had to be precisely balanced if she needed to be raised.
Also, Richard needed some other technical advice, so Gary & I invited webmaster Dave along to help out with the article. Here he is, keeping a close eye as the first phots were being taken . . .
Despite Gab's seemingly precarious tilt, Gary assured us she was okay!
With the photo session over, it was time for Richard to pick Dave's brains.
I've enjoyed quite a long relationship with Richard and he's always willing to give the Club a mention whenever he can. He's a good friend to us.
