Non motoring what is it

I think it is from 50/60s and is unused.

Look, the label on the box gives it away - even I can tell it's a Ferrari piston. Honestly, wot a give-away.

The manufacturer was Buck & Abbott Ltd of Preston, Lancashire. Insert the blade, turn the handle guess around 1950s.

Spot on .The internals consist of a pair of contra rotating cylindrical strops and the gearing flips the blade over at the end of a rotation so both sides of the blade are honed.
